Tagged as “the most comprehensive study of the filmmaker to date, The Stanley Kubrick Archives, looks like a very interesting book. It bloody well should be considering the hefty price tag of $200.00 US. Perhaps this request will be shelved until Chrismukkah 2005 arrives.

I’m re-reading Neuromancer right now and in it Gibson invents the term cyberspace, which for him was like a visual digital construct that combined what we now know as virtual reality and the Internet. One of his descriptions of it was like this (paraphrased): “A vast translucent chessboard stretched out toward the horizon…” And, hey, lookee here:
