We just visited Vermont, where they offered Cider Donuts at almost every Pumpkin Patch. They were delicious. I got the recipe and it's identical to the one above. I'm planning on taking my little grandchildren to a local pumpkin patch and give them a cider donut that I'm making today!

I lived in Mass for several years now living in WV, I miss the smell and tastet of apples and baking with them, I recall taking field trips with the kids to apple orchard were they sold apple cider doughnuts, they are a taste like no other especially warm I was so excited to find this site, can't wait to try for myself.

I've spent a while perusing your site after a friend sent me the link to the Weird Al top ten video's post.

You are fabulous.

And THIS recipe (moans) oh dear dieties! I may have to buy this fryer and diets be damned! This sounds INCREDIBLE. Thank you for making waking up at 6am worthwhile.

I'll be linking you, pronto.

Sounds delicious! Looks like it's time for me to get a fryer (the mozzarella sticks will just be a bonus).

I was watching a travelling-and-eating show on TV ( http://www.foodnetwork.com/food/show_ad/episode/0,1976,FOOD_9947_20714,00.html ) last night, and this gal went to a seafood joint on a dock in San Diego where they served a sandwich that consisted of deep-fried sea scallops between two pieces of white bread smeared with tar-tar sauce.

In related news, I own a copy of The New England Clam Shack Cookbook ( http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/1580174736/qid=1107383485/sr=1-1/ref=sr_1_1/103-8907849-3114243?v=glance&s=books ). In addition to a lot of great recipe's, it has some good general tips about frying seafood (what breadings, oil and temperatures to use, etc.). Let me know if you'd like to borrow it.
