A personal weblog about the things I do and what I see. As with all things, it is a work in progress.

You're right man. I'm in Haiti, and in my hood, I'm the only one who can browse the Internet(via GPRS on nokia 9500) instantly. Guess what? They have to think more than twice not to say something stupid!
By the way, I used to call on those old phones where each number have a finger-sized hole, which requires almost a whole turn for entering only the number 1. Things have really changed...

I love when this happens. As you might imagine, I am a regular in-conversation Wikipedia user. If I look down at my phone for a minute mid-sentence it means that I'm looking something up.

The ability to quickly fact check points in a conversation (including your own) is profoundly useful. Instead of quibbling over facts, you are free to use these easy instant resources to truly explore ideas with friends, family, and perfect strangers. It cuts down on the power that insistent individuals have by giving the most demure the power to insist that bold assertions be validated.

So I say three cheers for the Intertubes. Hip hip huzzah!
