The Marathon gig on Sunday was great. 40,000 runners, 3 rock stars, and 2 Julie’s cheering us on. Well, truthfully, the fans were there to cheer on the runners, but I’d like to think that we roused the spirits of a few Lynyrd Skynyrd groupies as well.
CBS 2 News, who was there to capture the enthusiasm surrounding the event, got a great shot of Nick shredding his axe, and a few choice sound bytes from Julie.
Sunday, October 9th, bee, will be playing at the LaSalle Bank Chicago Marathon, at the intersection Fullerton and Cannon Drive from 8am to 10am. If you’re up early that morning, come on down to see Nicholas Markos, Ken Simon, and myself rock the good folks running through Lincoln Park.
On a related note, it seems as though The Runaway Bride will be in attendance. Huge bee fan. Huge.
Have you ever wondered what would happen if Thom Yorke and Roscoe P. Coltrane had sex? Well, the result would probably be something akin to Rodeohead. It’s funnier than Cletus and slicker than pig shit. I’ll spare any more colorful descriptions and just ask that you listen yourself. Enjoy.
Thanks, Kirsten!

After three years, Beck is back on the scene with a new album, Guero, due out March 29th. The good folks at Pitchforkmedia.com say that it’s a departure from the soothing sounds of Sea Change, back to his roots of “junkyard-funk”.
